Lead poisoning and air pollution are just two examples of the  environmental hazards we face in the United States. But for communities of color, the threat is greater because of the disproportionate rates at which they are exposed to such toxins.  Black children, for example, are nearly three times more likely than white children to have elevated blood-lead levels, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Today on All Sides, understanding the arguments behind environmental racism.

Why Rep. Tubbs Jones endorsed Clinton, over Obama, in the 2008 Primary? Payback for Bill funding Cleveland's Healthline Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), making ABQ ART Central the worse BRT Euclid - for WHAT CORRUPTION? But to blame (Councilor Isaac) Benton for the shortcomings of ART is unfair. Let’s put the blame where it squarely belongs: Mayor (Richard) Berry.

As soon as I arrived in ABQ and saw we had a Cleveland 'Healthline", I started bitchin: So my question for the candidates blaming Benton for ART is what were you doing as this project rolled forward?

It would be foolish to rip up that infrastructure now, but it does need a lot of fixing. So my question for the candidates blaming Benton for ART is what were you doing as this project rolled forward? And now that it’s here, what will you do to make it work?
