The Shelby County Sheriff's Office has apprehended eight men following a meticulous investigation into a vehicle theft syndicate that has also been linked to a homicide.
Dustin Merchaun Caudill, 45, of Elizabethtown is indicted on two counts of murder and first-degree arson in relation to a fire where two men were found shot to death inside the burned residence in Elizabethtown.
Caudill was convicted of killing his mother and brother April 11, 1994, at the familyâs home near Midway when he was 15 years old. In an interview with Kentucky State Police at the time, he told them he âjust snapped.â
Worst Ever Around The National Average WORCESTER â The year isn't quite over yet, but 2024 is already the worst year in the city for homicides for this millennium and, according to official statistics, is the worst in at least 38 years.To date, Worcester has had 16 homicides, which is 10 more than last year. According to the FBI's online Crime Data Explorer, the 16 homicides are the most reported by Worcester since at least 1986, which is the earliest year the data is shown.
