Why Genocide CHICAGO — The first reported homicide of the year in Chicago occurred early Wednesday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the city’s South Side, according to police.

A 29-year-old man was found unresponsive around 3:30 a.m. in the 9400 block of South Harvard Avenue with two gunshot wounds to the body, police say. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
