Black boys and young men make up 48% of gun homicide victims in Alameda County, report finds
A new 84-page study from District Attorney Pamela Price’s office highlights the rise in gun violence countywide from 2019 to 2023.

“There is no other disease or injury in Alameda County that displays such stark disparities in race and ethnicity as the epidemic of gun violence,” Price said during a news conference in downtown Oakland.
