Landlords, officials say stateâs lead inspection laws need clarification

While short-term rental landlords are exempt from lead inspection requirements, state officials are ramping up warnings to ensure some other owners of older homes comply with lead inspection laws.

Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are investigating whether class action lawsuits can be filed amid reports that telecom giants including AT&T and Verizon have left behind a âsprawling networkâ of lead-sheathed cables that spans the United States and has reportedly put those working directly near the lines in harmâs way.
