The City of Shreveport's Department of Water and Sewerage has been chosen by the Environmental Protection Agency to join the Get the Lead Out Initiative, as announced in a Thursday news release.

The new rules consider any detectable level of lead dust in a building a âlead hazard,â requiring property owners to pay for cleanup.
