Slim Thug had a message for the black community in his recent Instagram live session. In his recent live session, the rapper urged the black community to stop using racial oppression as an excuse. In the videos, he could be heard saying,
“It’s 2025, we can’t blame white folks no more. We gotta let that go, kid. Them people, that wasn’t even these people. That was some people before them.”

He added that black people shouldn't wait for people to give them anything,
“At the end of the day, everybody showed us they can do it from scratch, So we can’t be worried, waiting on nobody to give us nothing. Everybody just gotta do it, no matter where you come from."
He then asked people to stop making excuses,
"We gotta stop making excuses. Stop waiting on motherf**kers. We gotta take advantage of this s**t. We gotta be happy on purpose, doing s**t that make us happy.”

Slim Thug has been a notable advocate for the black community in the rap industry. Instagram videos from December 2023, show Slim ranting that every community should own their music and noting that Black people should take their power back especially when it comes to music.
"Jewish people should own Drake - Drake is Jewish. Jewish people should own Jewish music. I don't like that Jewish people own Black music. I don't want Jewish people who are not a part of the culture to own the culture. I want only Black people to own Black music. Until we fix that, I don't like it. If you ain't Jewish, why the f**k you own a Jewish rapper's music."
He then went on to add that this theory should be used for every race. Thug noted that Jews should own "Jewish music", white people should own "white music, country music", and Spanish people should own "Spanish music." Thug opinionated that his theory is "not racist" but "equal."

The rapper mentioned that he admired Dame Dash for his fight against non-Black executives having a say over what happens with Black music. Thug used the word "culture vulturing" for people controlling the music of a different race.
Recently, Slim Thug went on to defend Megan Thee Stallion and said, "I got her back", he also went on to call Tory Lanez "lame" for allegedly shooting Stallion in 2020.
