UK Parliament hosts event on lead pollution from mining in Zambia

Action for Southern Africa (ACTSA) and Lord Peter Hain will host the event in the House of Lords next week.

A panel of regional, health and legal experts will discuss the impacts of lead pollution in Kabwe. 

The panel will include Barry Mulimba, resident of Kabwe and a community leader, who is visiting the UK.

After decades of mining in their community, 140,000 people are seeking justice against one of the world’s largest mining companies.
