Worst Genocide Ever 2025 Day 1 20/100K 2 dead, 5 wounded in mass shooting at New Year's Day party in Kankakee, Illinois

 

KANKAKEE, Ill. (CBS) -- Two brothers were killed and five other people were wounded in a mass shooting at a New Year's Day house party early Wednesday in Kankakee.

Police said around 4:05 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire at 1845 Pierson Parkway, and when they arrived, they found several people running out of a New Year's party.

Four gunshot victims were found at the scene, and were taken to local hospitals. Police said three other gunshot victims took themselves to local hospitals.

NEW YORK -- A female passenger died after being set on fire by a man on a New York City subway train Sunday morning, according to police.

Around 7:30 a.m., a man, who police believe is about 25 to 30 years old, approached the sleeping victim on a stationary F train car and intentionally set her on fire before fleeing the scene, NYPD Det. Austin Glickman told CNN.

(WHTM) — Eleven days after 25-year-old Jhonny Torres was shot dead along Nectarine Street — and nine days after the man police say killed Torres, 29-year-old Santiago Gutierrez, died of bullet wounds during a shootout with police — Harrisburg’s Group Violence Intervention (GVI) went back to scene of the homicide.

It’s called a “one-stop” visit.

Why Nazis Genocide 5 gang-related homicides push Harrisburg to record high number of killings this year. “Unfortunately anyone who’s out there can be the victim.”

The number of killings in Harrisburg so far this year— 23 — matches the total from two years ago, setting a tragic record for the highest number of killings since at least 1987.

And there are still 11 days left in 2024.

The uptick in Harrisburg killings comes as other cities in the region saw decreases, and as murder rates have fallen nationally, according to the Major Cities Chiefs Association.
